Having an Eeyore Day

“The old grey donkey, Eeyore stood by himself in a thistly corner of the Forest, his front feet well apart, his head on one side, and thought about things. Sometimes he thought sadly to himself, “Why?” and sometimes he thought, “Wherefore?” and sometimes he thought, “Inasmuch as which?” and sometimes he didn’t quite know what he was thinking about.”

I am a big fan of the wise words of Winnie-the-Pooh and his deranged friends.

So when you’re feeling down, it’s ok to have an Eeyore day where you think about nothing, and everything, or just don’t know what to think about. Commit to it, Live it. Just try not to let it drag on to other days of the week…because at that point you’ve just become an Eeyore, and no one wants to be around a mopey ass all the time.

However, having said that, you can allow yourself a few Sundays a year to just be gloomy confused Eeyore… add some Billie Holiday into the mix and you’ve got yourself a perfect grey-day mood. If you’re going to have a gloomy Sunday, you might as well make it a good one.
