Here’s a picture of what it looks outside my window on this “spring” day. Ok maybe it’s a bit higher up in the mountains than right outside my window…but the point stays the same, it is still winter! With Switzerland having just had it’s coldest March since 1987 & the UK since 1962! Let alone the rest of Europe which is equally as cold.
If April showers brings May flowers, then March snow just brings more snow.
I wish I could say ‘April fools’, but unfortunately it is a reality. Europe is being frozen over it seems and winter is enjoying its long over-stayed presence with us this year. I guess a few snowboarding & snowshoeing days wouldn’t hurt, though my skin could use a much needed vitamin-D tan.
On days like these, I can’t help but quote my friend Eeyore again…on being optimistic…through times of cold weather…
“It’s snowing still,” said Eeyore gloomily.
“So it is.”
“Yes,” said Eeyore. “However,” he said, brightening up a little, “we haven’t had an earthquake lately.”
You’re right Eeeyore, we haven’t had an earthquake lately. Good point.
